Jill and Claire have a long stream bed (approximately 60')built into a hillside outside their home. Numerous small waterfalls and pools have been created along its course, and the stream bed empties into a koi pond by their deck. The pools are home to water lilites and other aqueous plants. The stream bed is nicely integrated into gardens of perennials, annuals and vegetables. The entire garden is showcased against a beautiful view of Dyes Inlet. The koi pond is filtered by two 55 gallon drum filters filled with fibermat in an upflow configuration, two UV filters, and the natural filtration of the stream bed. The entire stream bed is approximately 2500 gallons.
