Mike and Peggy have a small 700 gallon, 20'x9', pear shaped pond next to rambling Seabeck Creek. They used a pond liner to ground level then edged it in two layers of manor stones.
They have two biological filters. One supports plants on the top of red lava rocks. The second is filled with a blanket of media material. The second filter pours water out of a bamboo spout to a waterfall.
The water sounds of the creek, waterfall, and spouting fish make a peaceful environment where you can sit on the sides to watch the koi and goldfish swim.
