Pouring the Pump Room Wall

Pouring the Pump Room Wall
After putting up all the cinder block, laced with rebar and piping, we filled the cavities with concrete to give it enough strength to hold back the earth and support the deck.  Since the cavities have so much stuff in them (rebar, piping, and sloppy mortar work) we used an electric concrete vibrator to get the concrete to flow enough to fill the void fully.  Notice the four inch piping and valves along the back wall.  They are going from the pond's bottom drains and skimmer and are heading back out of the pump room to the right to go to the suction strainer.  The flow will come back in through the pipe just above my knee to the suction of the pumps and then exit through the pipe that will fill the hole directly above the suction line.  Everything is 4" pipe in the main flow path.  I really hate flow losses. :)
